Did I Live this Day as the Best Day Ever?

The question one must ask…did I live this day as the best day ever?~Ani Po

best day everWe cannot go a day without encountering an unfriendly or another golden opportunity to share loving kindness. It is not how they treat us that determines who we are, but it is in the reactions we give them. We can be emotionally attached to their words or we can merely let them go. In letting them go, we are listening to the words or actions while taking proper steps to guard against darkened tongues.

Don Miguel Ruiz gives ancient Toltec wisdom while teaching the “Four Agreements.” My favorite of these agreements is “never take anything personally.” This single lesson removes all attachment to negative words by our transgressors. In letting their words remain meaningless, we are free to be as happy as can be. In the process, hopefully the unfriendly will be infused with a hint of happiness…setting off a time-bomb towards happiness.

One never really knows what to expect in life.

We may never live to see tomorrow,

Or we may never get to see the sun set again.

The question one must ask…did I live this day,

As the best day ever?

When the world tries to knock the wind out of us,

We must stand tall and breathe the breath of life.

Calmly walk forward making every step count.

Do this and our reward will await us.

Do this and no one can harm us again.

For me, I have been spat upon, kicked and dragged through the mud

Ten fold, but I will not allow them to conquer me.

I will quietly send them blessings and pray that one day they find happiness.

For them, happiness is in the numbers,

For me it is all around.

I cannot be more grateful for today,

For I know that I gave my best day ever.

There will be no one to judge me,

But it shall be known by me and my beloved.

I thank you Father for showing me the way,

I hope that others will follow suit.

Whatever our encounters of the day, they are opportunities of growth. Whether friend or unfriendly, every person has a lesson to bring. See these lessons and we shall know everything we need to know. Just as the blessing of a butterfly, we are blessed with gentle occurrences. Frightfully, we are just as blessed by the aggressive encounters of the tiger.

Stepping into the Canvas with Gratitude and more silent blessings. With every step into the Canvas of Life, may it be in gratitude. With gratitude in our hearts, even during difficult times, we find ourselves in a happier disposition…giving silent blessings. It is said…those hardest to Love need the most Love…why not share Love and compassion with them?

Be That Which Brings You Happiness

Be that which brings you happiness.~Ani Po

Too often I hear people talk about their daily lives and how miserable they are. Either too busy, too weighted down or whatever. When suggested to make the necessary steps, I nearly always here the same answer, “I wish it could be that easy.”

Well it can. It is often the first step that is most difficult. Difficult is the fear of the unknown arising. Trust the process…keep moving passed the fear. Focusing on what we want, our feet will naturally take the necessary steps toward that which we most desire.

While it may be important to clean house: literally and metaphorically, we are to go through a self-cleaning process to attain this eternal happiness most desired. What is it that you want? Close your eyes for a second, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Assuredly this is your dream of what could be. Follow this dream until it is so…

The Greater Good

I Am not here for the self, but the Greater Good.~Ani Po

It essential to be who are to be, but do we truly know? It is an everlasting journey searching for meaning to our own lives. Seek and it is found, believe and it is so, know and it shall be forevermore. Come to this place of knowing and we just know what we know.

At the place of knowing we let go of what would have been, what could be and we we accept things as they are. No judgment, no opinion…just awe-inspired knowing that it is exactly as it is supposed to be…

What a Man Can Be, He Must be

A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately happy. What a man can be, he must be. This need we may call self-actualization.~Abraham Harold Maslow

Whatever brings happiness, we must learn to follow our vision of happiness. If we are caught in the trap of our days, we must return to the place of vision…finding our happiness once more. Forgetting how, call on a friend to take our hand, leading us to a place of happiness once more. Do nothing and forever remain in the mystery of what could be…

Follows The Right Path

Every living organism is fulfilled when it follows the right path for its own nature.~Marcus Aurelius

We all yearn to know, but fail to make necessary changes within our lives. Taking a little time and making a bit of effort, we assuredly will find what our longing is. When taking the necessary time, it is a eureka moment and we just know what it is we shall do next. Taking the time, that first step passed our fears of the unknown, we arrive in a place of knowing…

Make It So

I could sit here all day and ponder or I can go make it so.~Ani Po

Each new day we have an ability to make things happen. Sitting pondering why we have not yet or where we are going, we are left sitting. Getting up and making it happen, it inadvertently will become so. With thoughts in our heads, we know what to do…go now…make it so…Make it so

Thoughts That Matter

All action results from thought, so it is thoughts that matter.~Sai Baba

Ever since I was a child I knew this, but somewhere along the way it was lost. Until now. Revisiting the past, I am re-acclimated with this ornate technology of the mind. Our thoughts become things and our reality altered by our thoughts. Our thoughts can easily be influenced by our days and altered by our nights.

With a bit of practice, we can focus with laser precision as to altering our own path into the future. Looking back, I have always known where I would be, but fell into a trap of feeling lost. Blamed others for current situations, accused the like for my failures…then a switch is thrown…and it was all changed.

Our thoughts become things, so why do we fail at getting what we want? Somewhere along the way we forget, falling into a trap of our day to day events. Say “no more!” From this day forward focus on what we want and surely it will be so. Our actions will align with our thoughts and reality will never be the same…
