In the Stillness

Often times life will throw us curveball or two, allowing us to either catch what is being thrown or let it fly beyond our grip. In any given situation we have choice to play the game of life. If a nasty curveball is thrown or we are given “the heat” we can choose to let it go. This next poem says it so eloquently…

In the stillness, God says, “Fear not,”
when I am about to take
a step into unfamiliar territory.
In the stillness, God says, “Fear not,”
when I am being nudged to change
my perspective in a situation.
In the stillness, God says, “Fear not,”
when I am about to venture
out of my old familiar patterns of self-doubt.
In the stillness, God says, “Fear not,”
when I am feeling anxious about all the things
that are completely out of my control.
In the stillness, God says, “Fear not,”
and over and over again
in my times of holy silence,
I hear those comforting words.

Stepping into the Canvas in ‘stillness.’ Whatever the given situation, let it go…be in a place of harmony and creation. Creation of Love and Harmony not the opposing force. The attention we give, is the attention we receive. If we focus our attention on the negative curveballs of life, that is all we shall catch. If we let the curveballs go, we shall receive a pitch that gets us right in the sweet spot every time…
