Unplugging the Noise

Knowing when to unplug may often remain in the shadows of daily distractions, but knowing when to unplug is very important. Some do the weekly thing, either on Saturday or Sunday whichever Sabbath they follow, while some do monthly excursions or take yearly trips. The key is to incorporate them into our routines. If we do not, we run the risk of spinning out of control.

It is becoming more common to take a fer-lo day (for loafing day), to recharge our batteries. I prefer to call this “ME” time. We all need to take selfish me time, only to recharge and give selflessly once more. To be selfish or selfless? In this instance it is necessary to balance both ideologies. We have to be selfish at times, only to remain selfless. Therefore…true Love comes from first being selfish!

Today is my day to take that selfish “Me ” time. Heading North with my son and we are getting away for the weekend. The weather promises to be gorgeous and the company is always warm.

Stepping into the Canvas with a selfish attitude today, only to emerge selfless once again. As the Pilgrim often remains in selfishness, the Warrior often emerges from selfishness and travels in the Light of Selflessness. May your weekend be Warm and inviting, allowing the Magic to flow freely into your life.

Love, Light and Life…Joseph

  1. Joseph, I have always believed in stepping back, fer-los, regrouping, or what ever we care to call it. Doing this helps us get back to who we are and why we are really here in this lightning paced life. Thanks for the post, and cherish the time in the UP with your son. Ours is in Iraq and we wish he were here to spend time with. Kind Regards, Harv

    • Thanks Harv! It will be both magical and memorable this weekend with my son. I will keep your Son in my daily prayers for a safe return. Embrace him for who he has become when he returns. Peace Profound…Joseph
