My favorite lesson of life sill takes me back to that moment with Terrence. One day, working my fingers to the bone, Terrence, a previous tenant, says to me “J.Why do you work so hard?” I thought about this and could not answer. I worked hard because that is what was expected of me.

What I failed to see…I had no real purpose. My purpose at the time was simply to make money, but nowhere in the equation was my happiness factored. Rethinking this lesson, I gave up everything for the sake of happiness. What is your purpose and direction?
