Generosity Ripples Outwards
Lessons taught by the mourning dove
Sitting pondering morning sun
glistening squiggles of unborn souls
floating and dancing, waiting for physical
presence calling forth placed into a womb.
Millions, if not more, combining in a great dance
sharing in sacred tune not yet heard
human to human, horizontal waltzes writing the score.
Whilst puzzle pieces floating about,
waiting to give meaning to the divine dichotomy
unwritten spellbound transfixed on a pair of mourning doves.
One step left, other sliding away
dance continuing as written for centuries
masculine moving to a gentle nudge causing a shift within the feminine.
Spiritually bound shadow and light,
inseparable by cosmic truths unspoken naked tongue
back and forth, ebb and flow, existential glow.
What does this have to do with the title of the ballad?
Our pairing truths born and end-of-life
nature’s giving and receiving willingly
sacred song, cosmic dance, invite to all.
Rigid, dogmatic ways unchallenged, acknowledged
purpose of scientific discoveries and spiritual revelations
making headway to coupled Carolina pigeons.
Heart generously pouring outward
washing away thickened muddy waters
clouding the day with painful suffering.
Rippled not yet returning from hidden seas,
flooding the world with creative thought
loving memory of ancient beliefs freely given unto thee.
Constant draw to conflicting battles within,
no longer bowing to the wickedness of the world,
loving generosity ripples outward.

Uncertain where the title song would take me during morning coffee, sitting as is the norm to observe the birthing of another day. Observing the puzzle floating above, words dancing and circling overhead, pondering where this shall flow.
In the distance, a pair of mourning doves sitting atop power lines, doing their usual mourning dance. The male steps left, toward his affection for his mate, while her stepping away in paralleled movement in a timely fashion. Steps yet again and again, to her stepping away.
While his dance is giving, maybe more like projecting, hers remains in receiving her own space, sacred and true, keeping distance as not to cause cosmic spiraling and imbalance of the paired for life fowl.
Neither truly knowing where their dance will take them, let alone the divine dance between the two, giving freely on their conditions, without fear of what the rest of the world may observe.
Our own beliefs and cosmic truths are our own, whether real or imaginary; nobody can take that away. Our desire to pour love freely into the world may not have an immediate response, but assuredly, the ripples will come back around with time uncertainty.
Give freely, give abundantly; the whole universe resides in a single acorn implanted into the hearts of all.
Thank you Diana C. for Day 25 of 30-day poetry challenge. Not sure if this was clear but the message came through to share. An invite once again to ponder the words written upon this page.
Much gratitude for those who take time to read, ponder, and allow the inner workings of self to come forward. Grateful for the feedback, love shared, and more importantly, the Dance with Inspiration. Deep Peace.
