Sharing a Piece of Paradise

Sharing a Piece of Paradise

Songs filled with heartfelt ancient beats

On the shores of Taki Maru by Author

Weaving clashing waves into breaking winds — Eastern skies opening to brightened seas — heart calls out first reefs shadowy past. Sing to the ocean breathless beats — sing to the mountains casting protective gaze — sing to heart’s content, endless deepened peace.

Stillness remains — emptiness filling cup — outward hands holding the balance of the diurnal course. Lost forgotten words — vacant ghostly shades of royal blues and turquoise hues — stopping for moments such as these.

Words on a page — filling voided thoughts with downloaded — transmuted energies of breezes sent from paradise. Transfixed on the daily routine — the pool boy painted the infinity pool with etched-out patterns of once before.

Silent is the mind — heart-beating recluse of ancient memories — home remains forever in the present moment. Rolling tides — repeating sounds of heartfelt tranquility — I am home.

Minus the plus one — soon arriving on Hagatna’s shores — reunited after heart-breaking distant deplores. Into the future — her arrival — nearly down under.

Like a childlike feeling — candy stores offering — the heart is filled with gladness — sharing a piece of paradise with Amore.

Dive! Dive! Dive!

Getting some bottom time

Recalling the last time I sported a BC and regulator — newest dive buddy a pure natural — tilting backwards off a little dingy boat into the Caribbean Sea. Or the time before — confronting a fisherman anchored to the protected reef — Captain, I am ready; give me the sign.

Dive! Dive! Dive!

Knife made ready — sinking to the bottom like a torpedo released by a sub — locating the anchor and cutting the line. Anchor as a trophy — adding to the Captain’s collection — a sense of fulfillment in saving the reef that day.

With groupers, jewfish, and various sharks — none the threat more than lack of human thought — piercing the heart of a local reef. The memories — logged for future gaze — warm my spirit, thinking that today is the day.

Today, I return to the sea — bottom time guaranteed — two boat dives as usual. Camera-ready — a sense of home calls me to the depths of the ocean floor.
