Level Up

That feeling we get

A thousand words were floating amuck
from dawn til dusk, stealing time if unchecked.
Sorting the dirty laundry, choosing gentle
or quick cycles to turn about.
Saturated, heavy weighting of the soul
configuring thoughts — drilling down to the bones.
Plucking feathers of aviary thought
or predatory intinction of reactionary and collective belief.

Accepting the pain bodies control
transmuted thoughts — lighter, freer
illuminated ways of bringing flickers
of hope into shadowed — shattered dreams.
Holding steady during tumultuous discord,
keeping steady is the way,
thin line walking between world accords.

Spark is the misery, joyful symphony
set into motion by another carrying a banner
charging the way with a reflective song
carried tune — we sing to the words floating thousands berzerk.

No resolution, intentions, or incantations
rejoice in the way, unfolding truths — not labeled
but categorized as other.

Free of judgment — humans pointing fingers
calling our name.
Recalling years in review, turmoil, tribulations,
rising, we are unstoppable.
Level up.

Reflecting on the year and all its challenges, witnessing moments of leveling up — no longer reacting from old ways but new beginnings, higher grounds, set into motion with a sharpened gaze.

Reading resolutions, wondering where mine reside, I return to not having a resolution but a continuation of the betterment of self. Yana Bostongirl writes a piece that stops me in my tracks, reflecting on the past year. During my most challenging times, I rose to higher ground.

Looking to the upcoming year, not just seeing or imagining it, but feeling leveling up even more. So, to reply to Yana’s post, next year will be a year of greater Leveling up.

Level Up.

Much gratitude for those who take time to read, ponder, and allow the inner workings of self to come forward. Grateful for the feedback, love shared, and, more importantly, the Dance with Inspiration. Deep Peace.

Keeping the Lighthouse Illuminated

Keeping the Lighthouse Illuminated

For Sailors passing turbulent seas

In the beginning, was the word
and the word was all there was.

Man, twisted by the flesh,
distorts meanings and realities for personal gain.

Down the conformist worldly rabbit hole
doing as we are told.

Pain growing as severed limbs
and burning of innards outwardly turn.

Heartaches and psychotic breaks
see-saw until the others get off our train.

Left alone with all the wounded soldiers of the past,
no one to offer comfort but self-inflicting, lasting peace.

Centered on Self, we are left alone to sort through
the rubble of earth-shattering events.

Light flickers ahead on the horizon of truth.

Chasing our tails for years to come
while never really reaching the end goal.

We grab hold of ouroboros infinite beginning and end,
only to realize we were whole all the way through.

We found it — what everyone is seeking! Wanting to tell the world of our newest discoveries!

Greeted by a cautionary tale of everyone who has crossed into the valley of death.

Firstly: “Declare you are of light, and the forces against will attempt to knock you down.”

Secondly: “Finding joy, you want to save the world — pressing those around you to chase their tail.”

Thirdly: “Self-realized, knowing we’ve had it all along — just blinded by the worldly views of each day, we come to a place of holding. Holding space for those true to finding their way.”

No longer trying to save the world, just being in a world that has forgotten how to be. Keeping the lighthouse illuminated for sailors, daring the turbulent seas.

In reply to this year-end prompt, acknowledging a time when I wanted to save the world from the torment of self-inflicting beliefs instilled by others. Understanding, now, that others will not listen to another who claims to find the way.

Spoken in parables, poetic thought, and switch words, our fellow travelers hear what is needed to push them beyond their understanding. That is the hope of it.

We share a spark with another, letting them choose to light their inner guiding light and ultimately find their way home to All there Is.

Thank you Diana C. for lighting the way, jules for being here, Spyder and Ravyne Hawke for your continued support, and the whole Know Thyself Heal Thyself family for sharing this dance.
