One with You

I am one with you,

you are one with me.

I smile and you smile back.

I grimace and you grimace back.

I look to the heavens,

and they shine down on me.

I look to God above,

and She looks upon me.

 

Eyes shut,  I see no longer;

a new world begins.

I hear voices all around me,

mostly self thoughts.

Why have I not seen so clearly before?

 

I failed to see the darkness…

 

 

The Calming Winds

As the heat of the sun crosses the horizon,

Let us be reminded of the calming winds.

As the fiery skies burn through the clouds,

Let us feel the coolness of the falling rains.

As the ways of the wicked taint our views,

Let us feel the spirit within our hearts.

 

As sure as the sky is blue,

I will not submit to thy evil ways.

As sure as the life is within my breath,

I will overflow with thy spirit.

As sure as the spirit is within me,

I will submit to your beckon call.
