Brighter Days

Brighter Days

Stripping all pain and suffering away

Photo by Khadeeja Yasser on Unsplash

Gone are the labels of things
pain, suffering, Joy and happiness
they just are.

With sharpened blade
puncturing the juggler
by the attacker’s edge.

Thoughts of losing everything
cash carried, storing everything
for a rainy day.

Just for a moment
holding thoughts of moving forward
even when the floodgates have opened.

Breathe in the stench of
traumatic scarring noise.

Breathe out a cleansing
thought of Brighter Days
releasing it all.

Sit for a moment
holding songs of paradise
singing the chorus of healing tunes.

Weakened are we
unable to stand upright
solid-footed ground.

Take my hand
sings a brother of another
hold me, and we will hold you.

My heart aches
as yours seeks higher ground
my heart is open — still hoping.

This moment
all that remains
stripping it all away.

Thinking of Marcus aka Gregory Maidman, activating the loop pedal for a brighter day…

Thank you Diana C., Spyder, Ravyne Hawke, and the whole Know Thyself Heal Thyself family for sharing this sacred space.

Much gratitude for those who take time to read, ponder, and allow the inner workings of self to come forward. Grateful for the feedback, love shared, and, more importantly, the Dance with Inspiration. Deep Peace.

Torn at the Seams

Torn at the Seams

Broken-hearted a thousand times

Sitting at the apex of all thought
flooding plains, storms on the horizon’s claim
weaving past into the present form
future not yet present but mourn.

Once whole
two hearts beating as one
tear in the veil of flesh
now broken and alone.

To see the other as they were
lost amidst finding that spark
painful as tidal waves crashing at
inner sanctums peaceful adage.

I will wait

Letting go of the guilt
woven into the fabric of once before.

Sacred space held
for the one
it was you this whole time
the spark that lit my flame.

Stillness
dragon sourced clarity
burning at the soul
it was you.
