Leaving a Trail

We never know the impact we have on the world around us until someone out of nowhere comes up and either thanks us or curses us for something we did moments, weeks or even years ago. Depending the impact we leave will decide the outcome of future meetings and the trail we leave behind. What kind of trail do want to leave behind?

For many it is an obsession to leaving a legacy behind before departing this lifetime. What does this legacy have to look like? Too often we focus on creating spectacular feats when all that was needed was something small and minute. It is the little things in life that leave the largest trails. How does one go about doing these little feats of greatness? Quite simply…just be in the moment, centering in the heart…Love will take care of the rest.

When we stop worrying about how or when we will do these feats, we do exactly as we are supposed to. When we try to control how or when, it never goes our way.

A gentleman came back after finishing a long course of Radiation Treatments. He is a single man, living alone and tends to have a loud bark. Beyond the tough exterior was a gentle soul, but he didn’t know how to express it. He admitted to me that he was going to quit radiation four days into his treatments, until we sat and discussed life options. We must have talked for 2 hours. For one of us it was another day, but the other heard God speak.

After a one month follow-up he came back to thank us one more time. He began to testify in front of a waiting area filled with people. That alone was testimony, as he doesn’t normally speak in front of other people. He said, “I admit that I was not a good man before and I feel I lost God in my life. It was on that day you and I sat discussing Life, that I heard His voice for the first time in a long time. It was that pivotal moment that got me here today and I know I am on purpose. Things are going to be different from this day forward.”

The waiting area began to shed tears of joy for this man’s testimony and we  sat there in awe, listening to his testimony. To me it was another day, to him it was a Life changing moment.

Stepping into the Canvas doing little things in a great way. While big things are great, it’s the little things we do that  have the most impact. Whatever steps you take today, will leave a lasting impression for tomorrow. Leave a trail of Love Everlasting…

Namaste.
