Throwing In The Towel

Have you ever been in a situation where you were doing something that meant the world to you, only to have it ripped to shreds by another person? Have you ever stood firmly in your beliefs, only to have another person accuse you of being crazy? Have you ever been in a race, got two-thirds completed, only to have your own body scream stop? You are not alone…

Sadly, majority of people will stop when things get tough, their body begs for mercy or another person laughs at them. It is the two-thirds mark, of any race, that separates commoners from élite. Ask any champion what their secret was and they will unanimously declare it was the voice within that encouraged them to continue, but it was their determination to reach their goal that got them their.

When the majority is ready to throw in the towel, the champions will clinch their fists, grit their teeth and press on. This is their defining moment! Whether they stop the race or they press on, either way it shall define them…like it or not! Returning back to our Pilgrim/Warrior analogy…the Pilgrim will stop when fatigue sets in, while the Warrior tightens their shoe strings and presses on.

The Pilgrim, If we remember, is an person that seeks but never really finds their way…leaving them wandering aimlessly. The Warrior is an individual who has defined what they want in their lives, made necessary steps towards change and stands firmly in their belief…doing whatever is necessary to maintain homeostasis within the self and their community.

Ani Po (Hebrew for Ani Po) is on of these Warriors. As many around her ridicule or doubt her ways are The Way, she continues to make necessary steps towards her entail happiness. Being half Spirit/half human, she is vulnerable to falls just like the majority of people. Where she differs is the time spent lying on the ground.

Recently Ani Po considered throwing in the towel herself as she was tired of people calling her crazy. Confused, she called on Great Spirit for guidance, “Source of all creation, I call on you for guidance. I have lost my ways and have forgotten why I have chosen the path of Warrior. Please, Oh Lord, show me the way and keep me steadfast to the cause.”

That night the Angels came to her in her dreams and said, “The Lord has sent me to relay a message. You, my faithful servant have made great effort to change the world as  it is meant in heaven. Do not give up, for you are on the right path. Stay the course… You are on the right path.”

Still stuck in a place of unknown? Stuck between a rock and hard place? What keeps you there?  For some it is a self-defeating voice, that lies within, deliberately sabotaging what we truly want. Some refer to this as our ego, while others refer to it as our flesh.

We are not afraid o our weaknesses,

but afraid of how truly powerful we may become.

~Marianne Williamson

So what is this roadblock laid before us, by our self-sabotaging alter ego? Our Ego has a very powerful Allie with which it secures its mission of causing failure within. Our Emotions, unchecked, will trip us every time! The Ego has hired our emotions to trick us into doing what we often do not. We think out of fear and never clear or precise. Removing the emotions from any equation, allows us to decide…”does this serve my high purpose?”

Our purpose may be fixed throughout our lifetime and it may vary at differ stages of our lives. The key is to allow our purpose to shine…this means remaining our authentic selves at all times, releasing any need for following the majority.

Ask and it shall be given unto you,

knock and the door shall be opened.

~Matthew 7:7

The seekers shall find what they are looking for, the Warriors are the ones whom will make it so. Stuck in a unfortunate event? Sit and ponder the given situation as if it were someone else’s problem. What should they do? How can they better improve their circumstance? By imaging another as the victim,  we are able to find an unbiased Solution. Remain the victim and the clarity is hard to find. Imagery of another or of the self are both effective, but it is the intent that will get us to our destination. Stay the course, follow your internal guidance system and trust that All Will Be Good. Tell nobody your plans, ignore any sabotaging words and allow the abundance to flow. Seek council from a reputable Source.

Stepping into the Canvas Confidently in the direction you desire. If we confuse our that’s where we could go or where others tell us to go, we will never reach our desired destination. Stay the course…you are on the right path…and are arriving right on time. Focus on what y most desired, not what y do not want.
