Captain’s Log: In the midst of Silence

In the midst of silence

Two months have gone to the winds — resting on a countryside foreign to even the skillful navigators. Foraging what the land has to offer — singing gratitude in exchange.

Contemplating very existence — from this moment to the next. Vacillating outcomes — uncertain where the oscillating footing lands.

Moments of deep-darkened spirals into Hade’s abyss — wishing for the pain to subside. To glorious moments of reminded miracles passing — new steps and greater fetes than yesterday’s forbidden fruits.

Temporarily or permanently embarkment of doldrums ship — greater is the song healing cellular to macro-cosmic returns. Infinite gratitude fills the pockets once emptied by a stroke of pen in hand.

Now, with Thunderbird’s mighty thunderclap — lightning bolts echoing Merlin’s illusive staff — the soul from silenced birth is straightened and harkened. A corset’s tightening and hardwood’s knocking — laced high are the boots made for walking.

Week one in — observing and absorbing the language of a distant land. Champagne popped like the bubbles corked for another time — celebratory dance on hold for another — maybe a brief little shuffle — no, full on getting jiggy with it.

Lucky is the captain who sees the lighthouse flickering in distant streams — steadied course — digging heals into galloping steed. Deflated sails or altered course — we have our heading for the chapter’s course.

Having worked my first week since the accident and donning flip-flops for the first time, a mini celebration is appropriate. How does one share the excitement? I chose to be tickled by one of June’s prompts in Know Thyself, Heal Thyself, allowing words to flow.

  • Write about what happens between this moment and the next.

Thank you Diana C. for holding this sacred space at Know Thyself, Heal Thyself.

Much gratitude for those who take time to read, ponder, and allow the inner workings of self to come forward. Grateful for the feedback, love shared, and, more importantly, the Dance with Inspiration. Deep Peace.

Supporting words of wisdom foretold by everyday

Taken by Author on recent trip to Peru

Engaging with the engaged — supporting words of wisdom foretold by everyday — heroes penning truths hidden for centuries, only to be unearthed by subconscious mindless acts of sharing an inner intelligence. Time clicked forward-backward, recalling that moment the mountains stood before my gate.

Spinning of words reversal — loop pedal activated — prompting words to surface from depths of buried memories sacred telling of another day. Farther away — recorded traumatic fading of death’s door knocking — arriving at the author’s knowing time has stood still, thwarted forward at speeds of sound and never existed but in one’s mind.

My offering today, within this great Canvas of it all — deep contemplation, inviting another’s travel to the road less traveled. Inward gaze, acceptance of outer rings on Saturn’s rim — a heartfelt attempt at painting a brighter picture.

Where I stand — solid ground or space filled atmospheric looming of shadowy doubts — dancing with inspiration, sharing a hand of another — inspired to sing and dance till the end of days. Called antecedently by the ancients hiding in cavernous ways — stepping into the canvas with a mountain in my gaze.
