This year was an unseasonable year…according to the weather man. With temperatures warmer than past years and very little snow, maple harvesters had a difficult time with harvesting the golden nectar. Trying to time the harvest…they missed its peak.
Tapping the trees to early can cause damage to them if the weather decides to freeze. Because of their fear, maple harvesting was cut in half. It is said that once buds start to show upon the trees, harvesting the syrup only yields bitter nectar. The sweetness comes prior to tree budding. Due to the increased warm weather and the fear of harming our trees, we are left with very little golden nectar.
Just as in life, we are ruled by the realities of our fears. Living in fear, we remain afraid of going beyond our comfort zone. If the maple harvesters would have just applied the basic laws of nature, their harvest would have been filled. Because they applied fear and not hope, they got very little this past harvest.
Was there ever a time in your life, when you were afraid to step out of your comfort zone? Was there ever a time, when you were afraid to do something different? Step out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary…the time is now.
Stepping into the Canvas with hope. Letting go of fear, we adopt a new faith-based reality…one of hope. With hope, we can do all things…no barriers! Stretching beyond our reality, we create a new one. Within or new reality we find endless possibilities. Within endless possibilities, we find new realities. Just as my dear friend Ben Merens reminds me…the only thing constant is change. Those willing to embrace change…live a happy life of change. Those who fight it remain in their own fear…never ever experiencing the possibility of change…
